From Reno Airport:

  1. Start out going Northwest on AIRPORT ACC towards E PLUMB LN by turning right. 0.4
  2. Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto E PLUMB LN. 0.0
  3. Stay straight to go onto E PLUMB LN. 0.1
  4. Turn LEFT to take the US-395 SOUTH ramp towards CARSON CITY. 0.2
  5. Merge onto US-395 S. 7.2
  6. Take the US-395 SOUTH exit, exit number 57B, towards VIRGINIA CITY/CARSON CITY/SO LAKE TAHOE. 0.6
  7. Merge onto US-395. 17.7
  8. Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto US-395/N CARSON ST. 2.4
  9. US-395/N CARSON ST becomes US-395. 3.5
  10. Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto US-50. 24.6 ?? (Close to this)
  11. Turn right and take 89 North for 3 miles
  12. Pass Camp Richardsen and just past the Camp Richardson Corral turn left onto Fallen Leaf Rd. across from the sign that says "Tallac Historic Site"(It is not marked very well... If you go to far, you will end up at Emerald Bay.. Turn around) WE WILL HAVE WHITE SIGNS WITH RED LETTERS SAYING "IRW" to help you.
  13. Stay on Fallen Leaf Raod for approximately 4.5 miles. Pass the marina then continue on the road 1/4 mile and turn right over the paved bridge across from the fire station. Just around the corner, you will see the "Stanford Sierra Camp" sign. When in doubt, BEAR TO THE RIGHT. AGAIN WE WILL HAVE SIGNS POSTED AT THE CONFUSING INTERSECTIONS.
  14. ARRIVE BEFORE DARK. Park at the main lodge to register then drive to the back of the camp to park your car.
